Earbender's First Meet Up

Thanks to all who attended the first earbender meet up last night at New York’s Emerald Inn! I was pleased to see folks from many forms of media, hanging and trading info about what they are working on and aspire to be working on.  We honored Dan Patterson and the immortal Waylon Jennings, and all who attended received an Essential Waylon Jennings cd, courtesy of SonyBMG Legacy.

There were artists, bloggers, podcasters, social media experts, filmmakers, radio broadcasters, writers, record company people and marketers of many flavors.  The Guinness was poured slow and drank a bit faster, and the snow didn’t hit until much later.  We had a lot of good catching up and even more important, a good enough turnout to plan the next earbender meet up, which I will announce soon.

Thanks to all who expressed their regret at not being able to make it from afar.  This must be the downside of being able to invite people indiscriminately with electronic media.  And Rob Blatt already blogged about it!  Still, it was very exciting to visit with my unique network, comprised of such a diverse group and I intend to build it up even further.
