KDHX is massive community radio station, rolling over the plains with over 100,000 watts, and the call letters come from the DNA molecule’s double helix structure (this shows they believe in evolution). As a community station, it encompasses all genres of music and some of my favorite hosts there include Fred Friction, Dr. Nkeke, Professor Skank, Nico Leone, as well as Tony Renner and many other former participants.

This past weekend we kicked off Harvest Sessions, KDHX’s series
performances at farmers market. We also launched Lunchtime at the Old
Post Office Plaza, a free concert series at downtown Saint Louis’s
newest public performance space.
This week our energies will be focused on our annual party for the
public, Midwest Mayhem. The event is comprised of performances by 12
musical acts, a burlesque troupe, a “lawn chair brigade,” and a hula
hoop troupe–all in magical playground that is the City Museum. Stay
tuned for photos next week!
We’re still eager for any signed schwag you might be able to send our
way for our Twangfest fundraising auction. Any artists that we chart
would be particularly swell.
