In Indianapolis, The Egyptian Room at the Murat Theatre has two great shows coming up that are relevant to the college and community radio scene, Gov’t Mule and a duo show of Robert Earl Keen and Todd Snider. Gov’t Mule features ace guitarist Warren Haynes while Robert Earl Keen and Todd Snider are two excellent songwriters doing roots music with a different perspective.
Although Snider is a bit more comedic and Keen is a more serious, intellectual writer, the combination of the two will make for a great evening. Gov’t Mule is more in the jam/Allman Brothers vibe, although Warren Haynes continually shows how eclectic the band can be.
