WXPN, Philly is pretty much the “granddaddy of them all” in the college/community radio world. WXPN has continually embraced songs and artists that go against the grain of the commercial radio as well as producing the World Cafe syndicated show. It’s so successfu, they have taken over an entire building on the U of P campus which now houses their studios as well as a night club called World Cafe Live.
I am very proud to have been part of WXPN’s development over the past 15 years and so honor them with playlist of the week #18 — John Rosenfelder.
