KUOM, Minneapolis, aka will be going full time FM tonight at Midnight central! Radio K has seen incredible growth over the past few years, due to savvy web marketing; having a very well-defined niche musically and possibly even the fact they are the only thing for miles down cold I-90. Due to an FCC ruling, they are now permitted to use the FM signals they leased FULL TIME!

Radio K Marketing Director Ellie Bjorklund told Earbender: “We used to be limited to FM on nights and weekends. This involved the translation of one FM signal (106.5) to our other signals, 100.7 and 104.5. Recently, the FCC made a change that allowed us to translate our AM signal (770) those two FM signals, which in short means we can now be on FM all the time! It’s something we’ve dreamed of since forever, so we’re overjoyed that it is finally happening!”

I encourage you to check out RADIO K in full FM fidelity if you live in the Twin Cities, or online at RadioK.org.  Congratulations to all at the station and its loyal listeners.
