The Who did a fantastic job for halftime, with a spectacular light show and able performance of their mega catalog, especially considering they are missing two amazing original members, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.

The Saints started the second half with an onside kick! The ads are getting a little more risque and memorable too. Note the Bud and Doritos ads have given way to some onesies, and a few wild cards have bet that the game would be tight in exchange for a cheaper rate.

The first half’s implied cost of viewership of was relatively low – a lot of chips and soda, not a lot of car ads. Note almost a complete lack of airline advertising. Denny’s is one of the few restaurant ads. Seems like Madison Avenue is betting America’s leisure will mean going to the movies a lot in the coming year.
